Credit and Collections Analyst

The Credit and Collections Analyst is a finance professional with a high sense of organization and experience with customer cash collections and credit analysis. This person will manage cash collection for an assigned territory and work closely with the Account Receivable team to coordinate communication. The Credit and Collections Analyst is a part of our Finance team.

Overall Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

1. Assess customer credit worthiness
2. Establish and manage credit limits
3. Monitor accounts for timely payment
4. Maintain customer files and records
5. Investigate and resolve customer issues
6. Interacts on a minute-to minute basis with Sales and Finance team
7. Works closely with Sales, Production and Finance in all aspects of the order to cash process.

Competencies and Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience in finance, preferred experience in accounts receivable
2. Strong knowledge of general accounting procedures
3. Strong Microsoft Excel and financial software knowledge is required. Experience with ERP system is preferable
4. Ability to work effectively in a team
5. Consistently exercise sound judgment and discretion
6. Excellent communication skills, written and oral
7. Ability and experience in  maintaining on-time payments and credit worthiness for appointed customers
8. Ability to identify, review and complete any issues related to the AR Aging with alacrity
9. Excellent customer relation skills
10. Ability to respond quickly to sales team request for credit evaluations

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.

Education and/or Experience:  Knowledge of general accounting procedures.  Strong office computer knowledge and skills required.
