EMEA Logistics & Transport Coordinator (m/f/d)

We are looking for an enthusiastic EMEA Logistics & Transport Coordinator (m/f/d) at our European headquarter in Mainz-Mombach, Germany. This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced and growing team that creates an amazing experience for our customers, dealers and prospective customers. 

As the EMEA Logistics & Transport Coordinator you will work closely with our sales team, operations, customs department, QC and the 3rd party logistics partner to optimize outbound shipments to customers. You will be our proverbial ‘ spider in the web’  to manage all logistic processes, connect the dots and optimize shipments. Our goal is to over exceed customer expectations and offer a great service towards our customers. 

We are looking for somebody with experience with international shipping, preferably within the outdoor industry, who has a passion for bikes and helping people. The role requires limited travelling, however the main location you will be working from will be Mainz. 

You will need to be an expert communicator as you will be working closely with multiple departments and collaborate on projects and goals.  

Overall Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Be the interface between the Pon.Bike Performance sales department and our 3rd party logistics partner
  2. Key contact for all outbound shipments
  3. Set up and monitor outbound shipments KPI’s  (lead times, quality etc).
  4. Check transportation invoices
  5. Answer internal questions within Pon.Bike Performanceon shipment status / bike inventory
  6. Participate in new logistic tender processes
  7. Work closely together with the Pon.Bike Performance customs department to ensure outbound shipments have the correct documentation / shipping information
  8. Work with the 3rd party logistics partner and Pon Insurance to claim reclamations (e.g. damages etc).
  9. Prepare paperwork / shipments for AIR shipments 

Competencies & Requirements:

  1. 2-5 years of experience in international shipping, outdoor industry experience preferred
  2. Up to date knowhow of the latest shipping and duty regulations, e.g. Brexit, Switzerland.
  3. Familiar to work with or within  a 3rd party logistics partner 
  4. Proficient in German and English verbally and in writing
  5. Expert in professionally communicating clearly and concisely with 3rd party logistics partner and Pon.Bike Performance departments
  6. Familiarity using ERP software, Google Suite and Microsoft office
  7. Ability to self-manage time and prioritize tasks successfully
  8. Experience creating professional relationships and providing excellent customer service to clients 
  9. Ability to give presentations / updates on the outbound logistics processes and issues
  10. Ability to work professionally with coworkers in a collaborative and open environment
  11. Ability to proactive problem solve and suggest recommendations for improvement
