Reserve Business Leader

The Reserve Business leader is a management professional who is passionate about driving growth for our premium wheel brand - Reserve.  This role is responsible for the brand’s business development, product line, market growth, rider engagement, and athletes and events.  The right individual will be passionate about cycling and able to live and breathe the brand each day; while creating a clear roadmap for Reserve. Additionally and entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to engage in and drive all aspects of the business.

Overall Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  1. Lead the brand to achieve and surpass business goals and objectives 
  2. Perform efficient business management - plan and coordinate the brand’s growth by supplying amazing products, work with sales to create a global distribution plan, and solid positioning so it connects with riders while also reaching P&L and business growth goals
  3. Create and execute the brand’s strategic and business plan to achieve revenue targets and product goals
  4. Analyze and explore market trends to identify new opportunities that align with global brand strategy
  5.  Track trends in the bicycle industry relating to bike wheels and use data to develop data-backed plans, and communicate findings internally
  6. Coordinate and lead internal teams to develop and execute plans for product development, marketing, sales programs, launches, and community building
  7. Build effective relationships with the brand’s key accounts, outside & inside sales staff, media, and primary supplier partner to ensure the goals of the brand are aligned with all groups.  This includes spending 1:1 time in all major markets and with key personnel
  8. Use your knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the brand’s unique selling propositions and differentiators to improve customer experience and drive sustainable growth of the brand
  9. Identify opportunities and manage campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
  10. Coordinate with the executive management team and functional department heads to integrate objectives and ideas for organizational growth into the global brand strategy
  11. Act as a brand evangelist to build awareness and engagement with the product with customers, ambassadors, dealers, and other business partners

Competencies and Requirements:

  1. A passion for cycling and a belief that bikes can save the world
  2. 8+ years of professional work experience - experience with Product Management, Marketing and Sales management with strategy creation and a demonstrated ability to execute
  3. 5+ years of management experience
  4. Understanding of supply chain, distribution, and sales operations and processes
  5. Deep understanding of the  competitive landscape in the outdoor and cycling industry
  6. Strong presentation and public speaking skills, comfortable presenting new ideas to leadership, dealers, and end-users
  7. Bachelor’s degree
  8. Experience in the outdoor action sports, sporting goods, tourism or related industry
  9. Experience in creating and executing a strong business and brand strategy, startup experience preferred
  10. Robust competency in data analytics used for layered problem solving
  11. A deep curiosity, passion for learning and endless enthusiasm
  12. A valid passport, ability to travel globally including Canada, Taiwan, China, USA, & EU - travel requirement 6-8 weeks per year

 

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English. Proficiency in mainland European languages is a plus.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree, experience in strategic planning that involves multiple departments and 5+ years of experience of management experience.
